Stan has spent his career working in mining, agriculture and fisheries in Western Australia and has grown to love the land and its rich culture.

He completed his PhD at UWA where he focused on Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing.

Since then, he has worked on developing methods for On-Farm Experimentation, developing new software to better manage WA’s production systems in collaboration with DPIRD, and worked with growers to understand water-use across the South West.

He arrived in Esperance in 2026 and is very much looking forward to learning about the region, its farming practices and experiencing its natural beauty.
