GRDC Harvester Set-Up Workshop

Get your header harvest-ready at Cascade
The GRDC Harvester Set-Up Workshop is coming to Cascade on Monday 21 September, providing growers with the opportunity to work alongside experienced harvest specialists and industry representatives ahead of the 2026 harvest.
The day will focus on understanding where harvest losses occur, how to measure them and what adjustments can be made to reduce losses, as well as:
- improving harvester capacity and efficiency
- setting up effectively for harvest weed seed control
- reducing the risk of harvester fires
- calibrating harvester technology
- managing harvest operations, productivity and economics.
The workshop is being hosted locally by SEPWA and Youngleaze Farm, with machinery available for demonstrations throughout the day.
SEPWA would particularly like to acknowledge Todd Walter, Mark Walter, Youngleaze Farm, and Greg Campbell, who are providing their headers for the workshop. Having local machines available will give participants the opportunity to see the workshop discussion translated directly into harvester set-up and operation.
The day will conclude with a sundowner hosted by Rabobank, giving growers another opportunity to continue the conversation with presenters and each other.
